I am going to miss all of the celebrations on the 24th. Send me lots of pictures of the float and everything else that you do this weekend! I hope your float is coming along nicely!
It is strange to not be in Central Point anymore, but I really like it here in Sutherlin. It was so strange to leave Central Point. It is a little bit cooler here than it was in Central Point. I do miss being close to Medford when Darrell goes there. We are definitely closer to Eugene now, in fact there is a girl we are teaching who lives in the Eugene zone. Her grandma got permission years ago to come to our ward so now we get to teach her granddaughter! We have a great area; it is very large! We drove out to the outermost part of our area yesterday and it takes about 35 minutes.
We went by and saw Jim and his family again this week. One of the first things they asked us when we got there was when mutual activities are. We weren’t able to teach them much so we will go back this week and teach them more. We also had a really good lesson with one lady, she is in her 80’s. She was born in Germany. She is now praying about baptism!
I am sure that you will be an amazing Scout Master; I expect to see pictures in your uniform!
It sounds like you have had a busy week and an even busier one coming. I love you all and hope that you have a wonderful week and 24th!
This is us when we went over to a recent convert’s house and watched Mormon Messages with her:
This is what we do for snacks while we are out during the day. They grow everywhere here! People actually treat them like weeks.
This transfer has been great. It is very different to have three of us; I have two companions now. Their names are Sister Santa Maria and Sister Rassmusen. It is an adventure! I have had a great week and am settling well.
It sounds like you had a great week – I am sure that life is crazy like always. Riley is so cute! I miss him! Wow I can’t believe that Jacob is 16! Good luck with him driving; that will be an adventure. What is his job at BYU? I am sure Mom did a great job on her talk; she always does. How was Jacob’s talk?
I love you so much and I hope that you have a great day! We are going to play sand volleyball in a half hour but we should be back into wifi before the end of pday!
We had a good first week of the transfer. We were able to find a new family to teach! It is a father and his three children; they are super cute! The father has been in our areabook for a long time so we decided to go see them. We had a great talk on the doorstep and invited them to come to church. They came to sacrament meeting yesterday! They liked it and said that we could come by their house sometime this week. We also had a lesson with a girl named Chelsea; she is amazing! She understands everything so well. We are also teaching our wards’ mission leader’s grandson; his name is Taylor and he is 13. The first time the sisters here met him he told them he did not want to get baptized. He is now taking the lessons and progressing. I am super excited to be here in Sutherlin – there are so many amazing people!
I am leaving Central Point, and I am going to Sutherlin. I got all of the pictures for the 4th; it looks like you are having lots of fun! I wish I could be there! But I am sitting in a church building in Medford waiting for the transfer van to come. Haha, Mom burned the brownies! I feel bad that Tyson has had a rough couple of days. We have to go move luggage in just a minute and then we will be leaving. I can’t believe that Jacob is already 16 and a priest! This is Sue. She is back on date for baptism on July 30! I am sad to leave her but I know that the sisters that are still here will do great. This was the first door I knocked on – I can’t believe I am leaving!
