Week 9

I love you! I love the area that I am in. Unfortunately my companion got transferred to the coast: Newport. I am staying in Central Point for at least another 6 weeks.  My new companion is Sister Chang; she is from Utah but Chinese speaking.  She speaks English but has not taught in English for the last year…. I am a little bit nervous for what is going to happen but I guess it is what needs to happen. That’s what I did my first night in Eugene and – fun fact – it is one of the sisters I went out with my first night. I hope this transfer will go as well as the last since I have really loved last transfer! I already know Sister Chang will be teaching some lessons over Skype so I guess I will just be sitting and smiling like I know what is going on. I know that this transfer will be as good as I make it but I am really going to miss my old companion. We drive down Crater Lake Highway all the time we go to the Walmart right there. I love you all and I miss you! It sounds like you had a great spring break. I hope Jonathan’s head gets better soon… I love you all so much!

Week 8

I love you!!! Here is my weekly email – it tells about just about everything!

Family and friends,

Sorry I didn’t write much last week, we had a short p-day and a lot to get done.

This week we went on exchanges twice. The first exchange was Monday-Tuesday, I went to Medford with Sister Persson. The second was Friday-Saturday, I went to Eagle Point with Sister Rees. Both of them went well and I enjoyed being able to learn from other sisters in the mission, but I was really happy when they were over and I got to come back to Central Point. This has become home and I love it here so much!

This week we also had specialized training on Wednesday. It is always good to be able to learn more from President Russell. He is a great teacher and I always learn so much when he teaches.

And of course we had general conference this weekend. I love being able to listen to the prophet and apostles! I know that they are inspired and are speaking on revelation they have received. It is such a blessing to have someone on the earth today who is called of God to receive revelation and lead us today. If you didn’t get the chance to listen to conference go back and do, there is always something we can learn from it.

Transfers are next week so I might have another short p-day depending on what happens. I will most likely be getting a new companion. I have learned so much from Sister Schrecengost, we have become so close over the past few weeks. I will be sad to see her go but I know that whatever happens will be the right thing.

Thank you for all of you love and support!

Sister Payne

Week 7

I love you and I am looking forward to Disneyland in 567 days now! I am getting all of the pictures and videos you are sending, I love them all! You are running a marathon!?! Let me know how that goes; if I was at home I would run a relay with you!  I hope you are liking your job too. I love all of the boys and I hope they are all happy and loving baseball and school. I can’t believe that Braxton is going to kindergarten. It sounds like everyone is doing great, I hope you all had a great Easter! I got your packages and I love them! mission pic 6I love you and I am sorry my email is short this week, we went to the temple on Saturday so we have a short p-day today and a lot to get done.
