President and Sister Russell have updated the Oregon Eugene Mission blog. There are pictures of Emily and other missionaries who arrived in Oregon with her. You can find the link here: http://oemrussell.blogspot.com/2016/03/welcome-to-greatest-mission-on-earth.html
I am loving it here in Oregon! We invited one of our investigators to be baptized this week and she accepted!!! She said she wanted to wait until June to be baptized because that was when her husband passed away. I hope that she will be willing to change the date and move it forward. We have had a lot of appointments that have fallen through, but the ones that we have were great! The ward here is amazing; we are serving in the Central Point 2nd Ward. The members are so friendly and willing to help us. My companion’s birthday was on Tuesday, so we had a lot of people from the mission calling us to sing happy birthday.
The “apartment” that we live in is attached to a member’s house. It is super small and old. We can’t even drink the water because it is not clean, so we have to fill up jugs of water at the church. But it has an amazing view of the valley!
I am doing great and would love to hear from everyone.
